g2 Management Consulting Inc. is an innovative professional services firm with a focus on governance, strategic management, risk and compliance. Our professionals assist organization to improve performance through the analysis of existing problems and the development of strategic, operational and program-based solutions. We are incorporated in Alberta and offer services in Canada and the United States.
Our firm is comprised of two Principals, Randal Guy and Karina Guy. It is their complimentary skills and depth of experience that enables g2 Management Consulting Inc. to offer executive-level business support to our clients, while engaging qualified and talented associates to compliment our core team.
Randal Guy, MBA, CMA, CFA, PMP
Principal, g2 Management Consulting Inc.
Randal has over 18 years of management and executive experience, with a record of success in the public and private sectors. Randal’s background includes: Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice; Director, Business and Market Development for one of Canada’s stock exchanges; Associate Vice President for one of Canada’s leading post-secondary institutions; and Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for two mid-size Canadian/U.S. manufacturing companies. Randal’s depth of expertise is in Strategic Planning and Financial Management, including financial reporting, regulatory filing, capital markets, and preparation for CEO/CFO certification. He has developed and executed against corporate strategies and created corporate governance models. He has also conducted extensive work in, and led, business IT strategies, process optimization/business transformation initiatives, supply chain projects, and delivered specialized services to CFOs in financial transformation. Rand also assists clients with restructuring, mergers and acquisition management.
As a seasoned Project and Portfolio Manager, Rand brings rigour, organization and alignment to any initiative. He has extensive Program Management experience and has provided consulting services to executives with respect to the management of organizational resources, development and implementation of policy, governance modeling, contract management and change management to achieve specific business goals. As a former executive, Rand is able to understand the pressures faced by leaders to achieve results and strives to ensure the success of his clients.
Rand holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia; he is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Management Accountant and Project Management Professional.
Karina Guy, MAS, CISSP, CISA, CIPP/C

Karina Guy has over 15 years of Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) experience. She is a former Partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP and has held senior roles in Consulting organizations and in Industry. Karina has extensive experience in assisting organizations in the areas of: Enterprise Risk Management, Control Assurance, Information Management, IT Governance and Informatics. Karina has proven ability to improve the governance and compliance posture of an organization, while enabling alignment through business and IT architecture, service management and strategy. Ms. Guy has conducted IM/IT and ERM engagements across Canada, and for multi-national organizations in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Karina’s background also includes consulting and project management experience in Program Strategy; IM/IT Strategy; Health Informatics; Standards and Architecture; Business and Process Optimization; IM/IT Governance and Stewardship; Benefits Realization; Internal/External Audit; Transformation & Change Management; Privacy, Access, and Data Protection.
Karina has a Masters degree from the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies at the University of British Columbia, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Privacy Professional (Canada).
